Terrace Heaters

Terrace Decoration and Details That Make a Difference

The terrace season usually begins in March and lasts until the end of September, or even the beginning of October, if the weather permits. For the beginning and end of the season, your attention should also be directed towards creating a comfortable environment. Therefore, here are two things you can do to maximize customer comfort:

  • Place patio heaters between tables. Their effect is felt differently, depending on the heater chosen (with a leg, suspended above the table or attached to one of the umbrella spokes) and the openness of the space in which the terrace is located. If the space is totally open and currents of air circulate from all directions, it is possible that the effect of the heaters will not be felt. Therefore, we recommend that you install umbrellas and partitions to limit air circulation.
  • Offer customers fluffy, well-maintained beds. We see this practice quite often in large cities with central terraces, but the difference is made by the way these beds are maintained. If they are clean and undamaged, customers will appreciate them accordingly.

Creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere on your restaurant's terrace in the cold seasons is now very easy, as you have Trend Furniture's generous collection of patio heaters at your disposal!

Patio heaters available in the Trend Furniture collection are recognized and appreciated worldwide for their superior design and performance. From luxury hotels and top restaurants to refined terraces and distinguished gardens, patio heaters offer the perfect balance between performance, reliability, and elegance.

What are patio heaters?

Patio heaters are a modern and efficient way to heat outdoor terraces for restaurants, cafes, bars, or summer gardens. Patio heaters provide comfort for customers, protecting them from the cold, extend the use of the terrace even on days when temperatures are very low, and create an intimate, pleasant atmosphere that encourages customers to return.

Before choosing a patio heater, you need to ask yourself a few questions:

  • What area do I need to heat?
  • What are the weather conditions in my area?
  • How often will I move the patio heater?
  • What safety systems do I need?

Types of patio heaters

Patio heaters come in many types and sizes. We offer you the following models:

  • Suspended patio heaters;
  • Fixed patio heaters;
  • Lamp-type patio heaters.

Depending on your needs, you can choose electric heaters or electric heaters based on halogen, with a capacity of up to 2100 W. You can choose a patio heater with LED scenic lights, which illuminate at night, with ashtrays included for smokers, which neutralize smoke and odor and keep mosquitoes away. Most Trend patio heaters come with heat level adjustments, on/off button, and/or remote control.

Also, three of our models are electric halogen heaters, which, when turned on, heat up very quickly, as the heat emitted by the halogen elements of the heater is done in the infrared spectrum of light, with a longer wavelength.

What is the required height for installing a suspended heater?

  • A 1400-1500 Watt heater must be suspended at 2.10 meters from the floor;
  • A 2000 Watt heater must be suspended at approximately 2.50 meters from the floor;
  • A 3000 Watt heater or more must be mounted at approximately 2.70 to 3.00 meters from the floor.

Of course, you can do the calculations in reverse. This may be necessary when the ceiling height of the location does not allow adjustments or when there is a minimum hanging height.

How many heaters do you need?

Each terrace is different and, therefore, there is no standard answer to this question. We always need to take into account all the factors that exist and that can influence. Fortunately, there are general rules that can give you a clear picture of the right heater for your location. The data below applies to infrared heaters:

  • Closed space, 175 W per m2;
  • Absolutely sheltered terrace, 250 W per m2;
  • Normally sheltered terrace, 300 W per m2;
  • Terrace with moderate wind, 350W per m2.

Often, it is not necessary to heat the entire terrace, for example, if there is a fixed relaxation area. In this case, it is enough to heat only this
